Brown Snake
This year’s hatchling brown snake was found in someone’s yard. Because the snake is healthy, it was released back to the wild. Brown snakes are common throughout most of Illinois. They can be found in a variety of different habitats, including forests, prairies, cultivated fields, and especially in vacant city lots.
